Lauren is an associate who handles criminal, immigration and family matters at the Law Office of Eric M. Mark. She was born in Red Bank, New Jersey and is proud to call the Garden State home. Prior to joining the office, Lauren served as a volunteer attorney with the Office of the Public Defender and completed summer internships with the Federal Public Defender and the OPD’s Special Hearings Unit. Lauren was also active in the Rutgers LGBTQ Caucus and served as the organization’s Secretary. Her most meaningful experience in law school was the Urban Legal Clinic, where she advocated for clients charged with minor offenses and coached teens for a mock trial at the Juvenile Detention Center. She and her clinic teammates also worked on a parole appeal for a client who has been wrongfully imprisoned for nearly three decades.
While her primary background is criminal defense, Lauren also helps clients overcome immigration and matrimonial challenges. She handles divorce, child support, child custody, and other family court matters. Lauren advocates with both zeal and compassion to achieve the best possible results. Individualized attention and advice are her top priorities. She hopes to one day become a certified criminal trial attorney and continues to accept cases as an OPD pool attorney to advance that goal. Lauren graduated from Rutgers School of Law – Newark in 2013 and received a B.A. in Political Science from Illinois Wesleyan University. She is licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York.
