Newark, NJ- According to a May 12th report from Reuters, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is planning another a round of deportation raids targeting immigrants from Guatemala and other Central American countries. That means some New Jersey immigrants could be in danger of being detained and deported from the U.S. if the state is included in the latest round of deportation raids.
President Obama Introduces Deportation Relief and Immigration Opportunities for Millions
Newark, NJ- In a national address on November 20th, President Obama outlined a series of actions he will take in order to give an estimated 5 million immigrants the opportunity to avoid deportation and work lawfully in the U.S. The President’s plan includes prioritizing deportations, immigration opportunities for parents of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents along with an expansion of his signature policy, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.
