EX POLICE SERGEANT GETS PENSION DOCKED AFTER DRUNK DRIVING ACCIDENTS
Trenton, N.J.– Last month, the New Jersey State Police Retirement Board voted to reduce a sergeant’s pension upon his forced retirement by 12 percent because of his involvement in two drunk driving accidents. According to NJ.com, he could have received a much more severe financial penalty as a result of both accidents, which occurred in a seven-month period three years ago.

New Jersey Law Gives Citizens Additional Protections against Wrongful Arrest
Newark, NJ-Each citizen has rights when they are pulled over or otherwise engaged by police. Ideally, these rights keep each one of us from being mistreated by police or wrongfully accused of crime. But we aren’t always guaranteed every law enforcement officer will respect our rights and follow correct procedures throughout our interaction with them.
